Barbara A. Burns

Barbara A. Burns, age 76, of Grants Pass, died Friday, August 10, 2012 at her home.

No services will be held. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Barbara was born April 16, 1936 in Grants Pass, Oregon to John & Dollie Bastian. She attended Fort Vannoy School and graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1954. On September 4, 1954 in Grants Pass she married Elvin Burns. For 25 years she worked as a secretary at Fort Vannoy School.

Barbara was a member of a Christian Women’s Club and was active in a local book club. She loved to visit the Oregon coast and Sumpter, Oregon. She was a fantastic cook and loved to spend time with her family. She will be remembered for her bright, friendly smile and random acts of kindness for family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Elvin Burns of Grants Pass, Oregon; Barbara is survived by two daughters, Lynn Lind of Beaverton, Oregon and Lori Inkrote-Postlewait of Colton, Oregon; a son, Brian Burns of Grants Pass, Oregon; two brothers, John Bastian Jr of John Day, Oregon and Bob Bastian of Klamath Falls, Oregon; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
