Audrey Jean Parks

Audrey Jean Parks, age 81, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, September 8, 2011 at her home.

Audrey was born February 1, 1930 in Hollywood, California to Floyd & Harriet Hobart. In 1941 she moved to Grants Pass and was a 1948 graduate of Grants Pass High School. She worked in Ketchikan, Alaska as a bookkeeper in logging camps for 17 years and returned to Grants Pass in 1990.

Audrey was a member of Grace Bible Church. She also belonged to Computer Bugs computer club.

She enjoyed working with her computer; hand sewing tapestries and pillows; and toy making.

Survivors include three children, Dane Alan Parks of Merlin, Oregon, Dent Lee Parks of Grants Pass, Oregon and Kitty-jo Davis of Merlin, Oregon; two sisters, Shirley Leitch Howard and Betty Wilder both of Grants Pass, Oregon; an adopted brother, David M. Zweigart of Saudi Arabia; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Grace Bible Church with Pastor Gary Cloud officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
