William Ray Mead

William Ray Mead, age 55, of Williams, died Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at his home.

No services are planned. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

William was born June 5, 1957 in Fontana, California to Otis & Linda Mead. In 1986 he moved from Lytle Creek, California to Williams, Oregon. For 20 years he worked for several vineyards in the Applegate Valley including Wooldridge Creek Vineyard, Troon Vineyard and Laralli Vineyard. He also worked for R.J. Earthborn, Jacksonville Lumber Company, a Medford cabinet shop and cut firewood for his brother.

William was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and jet boating with his brother.

Survivors include a daughter, Dana Mead; his mother, Linda Mead of Williams, a sister, Debbie Claxton of Ocala, Florida; a brother, David Mead of Williams and several grandchildren.
