Wayne Wyatt Bowers

Wayne Wyatt Bowers, age 53, of LaPine & Grants Pass, died Tuesday, February 16, 2010 in Grants Pass.

A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Merlin Community Baptist Church with Pastor Everett Denniston officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Wayne was born November 16, 1956 in Morenci, Michigan to Milford & Mary Bowers. In 1958 he moved with his family from Waldron, Michigan to Grants Pass. He attended Grants Pass schools and graduated in 1976 from Grants Pass High School. In the summer of 1975 he was employed at Spalding & Son Lumber Mill and worked there until it closed in August 1998. In 2002 he moved to LaPine.

Wayne was a member of the Moose Lodge.

His hobbies included lake fishing, kayaking, and working in his yard.

Survivors include two sons, Travis Bowers and wife Nina of Central Point and Brandon Bowers of White City; his mother, Mary Bowers of Grants Pass; a sister, Lyla Fitch of Tooele, Utah; and three brothers, Mark Bowers of Indianola, Washington, Matt Bowers of Grants Pass, and Milford Bowers Jr of Central Point.

He was preceded in death by his father, Milford Bowers Sr in 1996.
