Wayne "Neal" Green

Former Grants Pass resident, Wayne “Neal” Green, age 76, of Springfield, died Thursday, November 12, 2015 at a care facility.

Neal was born August 19, 1939 in Bakersfield, California to Wayne M. Green & Dorothy I. Green. In 1946 he moved from California to Grants Pass. From 2007 to 2015 he lived at Spruce Point Assisted Living in Florence before moving to McKenzie Living in Springfield.

During his younger years, he was a boxer with the nickname, “Irish Red.”

Neal enjoyed playing guitar, writing songs, and spending time in the outdoors.

Survivors include a son, Edmond W. Green of Carson City, Nevada; a sister, JoAnn Baas of Florence, Oregon; a brother, Robert “Bob” Green of Tacoma, Washington; his former wife, Wanda M. Green of Grants Pass, Oregon; and many grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne & Dorothy Green; brother, Milo Green in 2000 and his son, Jonathan W. Green in 1991.

No services are planned. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
