Walter L. Otte

Walter L. Otte Jr., age 79, of Grants Pass, died Friday, February 25, 2011 at his home.

A viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.

A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Hull & Hull Chapel. Private interment will be at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.

Walter was born May 9, 1931 in Los Angeles, California to Walter & Jennie Otte. In 1948 he enlisted in the United States Navy and served until 1952 when he was honorably discharged. On June 6, 1941 he married Dolores Biondi who survives. In 1986 he retired from the Los Angeles City Fire Department as a paramedic and in 1993 he moved from Acton, California to Grants Pass.

His hobbies included hunting, fishing, watching FOX news, and spending time his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Dolores Otte of Grants Pass, Oregon; he is survived by a son, Edward Otte of Grants Pass, Oregon; a daughter, Sandra Patterson of Lakeview Terrace, California; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Walter L. Otte III in 2006 and two sisters.
