Thomas James Brown

Thomas James Brown, age 88, of Grants Pass, died March 30, 2019 at his home.

Tom was born July 27, 1930 in Fremont, Nebraska to Thomas John Brown & Alice Helen Melvin. At age four, he moved with his family to Pasadena, California where he grew up, graduated high school and attended college. On May 17, 1962 in Las Vegas, Nevada he married Nora Belle Stout. Tom owned and operated service stations in California and Oregon, Brown’s Union Station until retiring in 1993. He moved from Rogue River to Grants Pass 14 years ago.

Tom was raised in the Catholic faith.

His hobbies included raising thoroughbred horses and horseracing; fishing and camping.

Survivors include his wife Nora B. Brown; two sons James M. (Judy Anderson) Brown and Thomas L. (Deena) Brown; grandchildren Sterling, Kylie, Jordan, Kellen, Carson, and Kennedy; and great-grandchildren Maylie-Belle and Abel all of Grants Pass.

A viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., April 8, 2019 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.

A graveside service will follow at 12 Noon, April 8, 2019 at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.
