Theodore Anthony "Ted" Masiak

Theodore Anthony “Ted” Masiak, age 53, of Grants Pass, died Friday, July 13, 2012 at his home.

A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 28, 2012 at First Christian Church with Pastor Wes Winn officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Remembrances may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Ted was born November 4, 1958 in Lincoln Park, Michigan to Anthony & Evelyn Masiak. He graduated from high school in Trenton, Michigan and then attended Saddleback College for automotive repair for two years. In 1987 he moved from California to Grants Pass. He worked for Patinos Appliance and Repair for 25 years beginning as a service tech and then service manager. In 2008 he purchased Patinos and had operated it ever since. On July 15, 2004 in Ottawa, Canada he married Elvie Pindog.

Ted was a member of the Josephine County Sportsman Association and First Christian Church where he helped as a Sunday school teacher for the past three years.

His hobbies included flying model helicopters, going to auctions, and target shooting.

In addition to his wife, Elvie Masiak of Grants Pass, Oregon; Ted is survived by two daughters, Samantha Masiak of Corvallis, Oregon and Georgina Rodriguez of Eagle Point, Oregon; a son, Tony Masiak of Dearfield, Florida; his adoptive parents, Milo & Billie Patino of Grants Pass, Oregon; five sisters, Mary Suprunuk of Trenton, Michigan, Barb Yannatta of Calumet, Michigan, Jan Saxon of Weaverville, California, Teresa Sutton of Louisville, Kentucky, and Faith Herman of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Timothy Masiak and Edward Masiak.
