"The Can Man" Harry Sanders

“The Can Man” – Harry Sanders, 76, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, November 23, 2006 at his brother’s home.

No services are planned at this time. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Remembrances may be made in care of his brother, Larry Ferguson, 3106 So River Road, Grants Pass OR 97527 for funeral expenses 474-2355.

Harry was born October 24, 1930 in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. He served in the U.S. Air Force for three years in the Philippines as an F-51 mechanic. He was a master welder, painter, pilot, and mechanic.

I Love Grants Pass charity group donated him a bike for transportation and nicknamed him, “The Can Man,” because he collected cans to supplement his income.

Survivors include three sons, Bud Sanders of Washington, Daniel Sanders of Washington, and Matthew Sanders of Utah; two daughters, Cindy Taylor of Arizona and Jennifer of Utah; and a brother, Larry Ferguson of Grants Pass.
