Sylvia M. Hulsey

Sylvia M. Hulsey, age 78, of Cave Junction, died Saturday, July 4, 2015 at her home.

Private services will be held. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Sylvia was born on August 27, 1936 in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma to Granvile & Thelma Osborne. In 1954 she married Henry Hulsey, they divorced and in 1968 they remarried. She owned and operated Bowling Alley Restaurant, Lucky Lady Bar and Hulsey’s Caf in Saticoy, California. In 1978 she moved from Santa Paula, California to Oregon. Three years ago she moved from Cave Junction to Rogue River. While living in Cave Junction, she cooked at many restaurants.

One of her favorite hobbies was cooking.

Survivors include a daughter, Shelley R. May of Cave Junction and a son, Walter Allen Hulsey of Rogue River; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Henry Hulsey in 1999; son, Dennis James “Beachball” Hulsey in 1984 and siblings, Bonnie Louise Carpenter and James Calvin Osborne.
