Shirley Anne Vogelsang

Shirley A. Vogelsang, age 73, of Grants Pass, died Saturday, September 1, 2007 at Three Rivers Community Hospital.

A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 7, 2007 at Hull & Hull Chapel with Father Peter O’Brien officiating. Private interment will be at Riverside National Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Shirley was born, Shirley Ann McGlenn to Thomas and Lucille (Green) McGlenn, June 23, 1934 in Kewanee, Illinois where she graduated from high school. She received her nursing degree at St. Francis Nursing School. In 1957, she married Robert F. Vogelsang who proceeded her in death in 2003. She worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in Long Beach, California and retired in the early 1960’s to raise her two sons. In 2005, she moved from La Habra, California to Grants Pass.

She was a member of St. Anne Parish.

She especially enjoyed playing cards at Fairview Transitional Health Center with other residents.

Survivors include two sons, Stephen Vogelsang of Los Angeles, California and Mark Vogelsang of Grants Pass; one sister, Carol Milnes of Neponset, Illinois; one brother, Thomas McGlenn of Huntington Beach, California and one grandchild.
