Shirley Ann Jarrell

January 5, 1934 — June 21, 2015

Shirley Ann Jarrell, 81, of Williams, went to be with her Lord on June 21, 2015 in Grants Pass.

The second of four children, she was born Shirley Ann Hester on Jan 5, 1934 in Temple, TX, to Hermon and Olga Hester. Siblings include Katherine (Hester) Hilliard (deceased), Randolph Hester, and Donald Hester. She graduated from Temple High School, and studied Medical Transcription.

She married Maxie William Jarrell in Corpus Christi, TX on Nov 18, 1953. Shirley was a devoted homemaker, and raised three children. She was an avid gardener and socialite, cultivating flowers and friendships while living in Florida, Texas, California, and the Williams Valley since 1990.

Shirley was a follower of Jesus, becoming a Christian at an early age. She loved to study the Word of God, and often did so with friends. She had a passion to spread the Gospel, and supported Missionaries at home and abroad. She attended Williams Community Church.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Maxie; one daughter, Beverly (Russ) Lindsay of Fallon, NV; two sons, Perry (Sindee) Jarrell of Medford, and Stanley Jarrell of East Africa; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

A private family service is pending.
