Shirley Ann Gardner

Former Grants Pass resident Shirley Ann Gardner, 84, passed away on October 24, 2019 in Milton, Florida.

Shirley was born on February 16, 1935 in Muskogee, Oklahoma and graduated from Central High School, Muskogee in 1952. She later moved to Prospect, Oregon where she met and married Clarence R. “Dick” Scism with whom she had four children. Following the death of her husband Dick, she met and married Floyd Gardner with whom she raised two of her sons. Shirley moved to Forsyth House in Milton, FL last year.

Shirley loved horses and was an avid rider for many years. She was also active in the Fraternal Order of Eagles auxiliary both in Grants Pass and in Tucson. She was preceded in death by her daughter Sharon Marie Scism and son Donald George Scism.

Shirley is survived by her Son’s William Scism of Milton, FL and David Scism of Henderson, NC and their wives, children and great grandchildren.

Grave side services will be held at 11:00 am on November 12, at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.
