Scott Nicholas Martin

Scott N. Martin, age 44, of Grants Pass, passed away Monday, November 23, 2015 at Rogue Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his loved ones.

Scott was born December 28, 1970 in Grants Pass to Bev DeRains and Nick Martin. He grew up in Grants Pass, attended local grade schools, Lincoln Savage Middle School and in 1989 graduated from Hidden Valley High School. Scott attended Rogue Community College for business and management classes. He worked at Coachman Trailers and worked his way up to a plant supervisor for Monaco Trailers both in Springfield, Oregon. After returning to Grants Pass he owned and operated Affordable Landscaping Maintenance for the last ten years.

Scott was an amazing father and loved spending time with his daughter and son; they were the loves of his life.

He volunteered at Madrona School and attended Edgewater Christian Fellowship twice weekly with his daughter.

Scott enjoyed riding quads, camping, watching movies, and listening to music.

He was a hard worker and a caring and sensitive man. He was known by all his friends for his kind and generous heart. He will be greatly missed.

Scott is survived by a son, Branden Scott Martin of California; a daughter, Kloee Brooke Martin of Grants Pass; a grandson, Branden Wade Martin of Grants Pass; his mother, Bev De Rains of Grants Pass; his father and stepmother, Nick & Jeanie Martin of Grants Pass; two brothers, Brad Martin of Grants Pass and Chuck McArthur of Seattle, Washington; two sisters, Nikki Martin Moore of Arlington, Virginia and Danielle McArthur of Seattle, Washington; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Chuck DeRains.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 30, 2015 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors. Private interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
