Sandy L. Ryan (Mccain)

On Saturday, February 10, 2018, Sandy L. Ryan (McCain) was called to rest to be with her Heavenly Father. Sandy's husband, Harold, and her daughter, Micah, were by her side at the Lion's Gate Hospital in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, when she lost her battle with cancer.
Sandy was born in Whittier, California, on September 18, 1958, to Neil and Carmen McCain. She graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1976, and attended First Baptist Church of Grants Pass during the 1970s.
Besides traveling within the United States, Sandy traveled overseas, including France with her husband, Harold; England with her daughter, Micah; and South Korea, with her other daughter, Jaime.
Sandy befriended many people that considered her an 'Angel.' Her friends included Hollywood film celebrities, such as Ben Stiller, Christine Taylor, Leah Remini, Owen Wilson, Will Ferrell, Dyan Cannon, and Producer, Jay Russel.
Sandy is preceded in Paradise by her father, Neil McCain, a U.S. Navy Korean War Veteran, a cousin of Senator John McCain of Arizona.
She is survived by her mother, Carmen McCain of Grants Pass, Oregon; brother, Jeff McCain of Diamond Bar, California; brother, Ron McCain of Grants Pass, Oregon; sister, Judi Fowler of Grants Pass, Oregon; her five children, Micah of Arizona, Jesse of Oregon, Jaime of Colorado, Ian of Tennessee, Vincent of California; and three grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service was held for Sandy at Westside Church, North Shore Campus, North Vancouver, British Columbia, officiated by her Pastor James Bonney on Sunday, February 18, 2018.
A private memorial service for Sandy is planned to be held in the United States by her son, Vincent.

“I first met Sandy in 1972. I had the most fun of my teen years around Sandy. I attended First Baptist Church with her and married her brother, Ron, in 1976. I fondly remember her Grandpa Clyde, and her Dad, Neil, often calling Sandy ‘Princess.’ I find comfort in the belief there is a God who offers more than this earthly life, and pray Sandy is resting in the arms of those that love her and call her ‘Princess!’'
