S.C. "Bud" Matthews

S.C. “Bud” Matthews, age 91, of Williams, died Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Three Rivers Community Hospital.

Private interment will be held at Sparlin Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Bud was born March 4, 1918 in Maddensville, Pennsylvania to Charles & Lenore Matthews. On August 30, 1951 in Reno, Nevada he married Bonnie L. Bailey. In 1981 he moved from Los Angeles, California to Williams.

His hobbies included bowling, golf, football, and watching television.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie L. Matthews of Williams; a daughter, Kaylia Eckles of Potter Valley, California; three sons, Dennis Matthews of Williams, Chuck Matthews of Grants Pass and Danny Matthews of Grants Pass; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Butch Matthews in 2005.
