Ruth Theresa Blackburn

Ruth Theresa Blackburn, age 89, of Grants Pass, passed into the presence of her Lord, Jesus Wednesday morning, July 11, 2012.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 16, 2012 at Countryside Village, 1700 Kellenbeck Avenue, Grants Pass. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Ruth was born April 29, 1923 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Ruth enjoyed a life of world travel while her husband served in the United States Navy for 20 years. She retired from 22 years of civil service employment. In 1967 she moved from Oxnard, California to Grants Pass.

Ruth served in several Christian ministries including the local Pacemakers, senior choir group.

Survivors include her husband, Gene; and her three children, David Blackburn, Jerry Blackburn, and Beverly Soasey.
