Rose Ann Strazzulla Klein

April 30, 1925 — June 10, 2015

Rose Ann Strazzulla Klein received her beautiful angel wings June 10, 2015 after 90 years of life.

Born to Joseph and Lena Strazzulla on April 30, 1925 in Boston, Massachusetts, Rose Ann graduated from Boston Girl’s School. She married Eldred (Al) Joseph Klein, Navy Gunner’s Mate 1st Class in Boston May 20, 1945. They relocated to Waterloo, Iowa where her boys Tom and Tim were born. The family then moved to Anchorage, Alaska where she birthed her daughter Terri. Rose Ann was a full time Mom and also an employee of Carr’s Safeway in Anchorage. They moved to Medford, OR in 1972, where she was employed by Medford School District 549C. After all the children graduated from high school they travelled extensively visiting family members across the entire country for a period of time. They then moved to an ocean front cottage in Ocean Park, WA. Preceded in death by her husband, Rose Ann relocated to Grants Pass, OR to be close to her devoted daughter and loving caregiver Terri Wiley and her family.

Rose Ann is survived by her 3 beloved children, Tom Klein, Redmond, WA, Tim Klein, Homer, AK and Terri Wiley, Grants Pass, OR as well as her grandchildren, Chris Klein, Bret Klein, Kaila Crenshaw, Laurel Parks, Brady Parks and her 3 great grandchildren, Stella Klein, Ellery Klein and Jaxen Crenshaw. Her Strazzulla family is in Massachusetts and includes her loving sister and brother, Marie LoVuolo and John Strazzulla along with many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her brother Vincent James.

Rose Ann was an active volunteer of the Josephine County Historical Society and the Grants Pass Museum of Art. Her interests included theatre, flowers, reading, tap dancing, jazz and classical music, the Boston Pops and good food.

A mass will be held Friday, June 19, 2015 at 12:30 pm at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 1131 NE 10th Street, Grants Pass, OR 97526.

The family wishes to extend sincere gratitude to the very special and caring staff of Brookdale Senior Living, Fair View Transitional Care Center, Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center and Lovejoy Hospice.
