Ronald Gene Wilson

Ronald Gene Wilson, age 50, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

Private services will be held. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Ron was born January 14, 1960 in Grants Pass, Oregon. In 1979 he graduated from Hidden Valley High School where he was a state champion in the 440 yard dash. In March 1980 he married Pam Brown and in November 1981 a son, Ryan was born and in December 1985 Erin was born. He later divorced. Ron was a long haul truck driver in his family’s business. Over the years, he also worked as an antenna installer with Harvey Hayes, at ESAM, Chandler Pipeline, and mostly recently Copeland Paving for 14 years as a welder/fabricator.

Ron was a member of the Teamsters Union. For many years, he attended College Heights Baptist Church.

His hobbies included soapstone and wood carving, fishing, hunting, hiking, waterskiing, building, and any outdoor activities.

Survivors include a son, Ryan Wilson; a daughter, Erin Rubin; his parents, Jerry & Jean Wilson; three brothers, Mike Wilson, Ross Wilson, and Don Wilson; and a sister, Sarah Wilson all of Grants Pass.

He was preceded in death his brother, Marty Wilson in 2002.
