Ron Mailho

March 5, 1947 — December 30, 2022

Ron Mailho, age 75, of Rogue River, died December 30, 2022 at his home.


He was born Ronald James Mailho on March 5, 1947 in Berkeley, California to John Lucien Mailho and Winifred Belle (March). Ron graduated from Arroyo High School in San Lorenzo, California in 1964. He earned a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Hayward in 1968. Ron enlisted in the United States Navy from 1969 – 1973 and served in Vietnam Aviation and achieved the rank of Lieutenant. From 1970 to 1992 he was married to Joan (Kartak); in 1993 he married Deborah (Spargur).


Ron’s career was in customer service with United Airline for 35 years until his retirement, after which he owned and operated Perry Fiscal Services, and was a real estate agent with Covered Bridge Realty.


He enjoyed volunteering his time helping others and taking great care of his family. Ron was happiest on his tractor in the open spaces of the couple’s property.


Ron will be remembered for his warm smile and his ability to do anything.


Survivors include his wife Debbie Mailho of Rogue River; children Lisa Zhang of Weston CT, Jenica Leo of Norton MA, and Geran Mailho of Sedro-Woolley WA; siblings Laurie Matarazza of Rogue River, Wendy Mailho Shields of Portland OR, and Steve Mailho of Destin FL; and nine grandchildren.

Military Funeral Honors with the United States Navy Honor Guard will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 6, 2023 at Eagle Point National Cemetery; Pastor Brian Boisen officiating. Following the committal service, a celebration of life and luncheon will be held at the Hope Presbyterian Church in Rogue River. Arrangements with Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.
