Rodney Dale Eells, 66, of Caldwell, Idaho passed away on August 1st, 2020 peacefully at home of natural causes. He was born to parents Wesley and Leona Eells, on January 13, 1954 in Grants Pass, Oregon. He married Phyllis Renee Lacer on August 16, 1975 in Murphy, Idaho.

Rod grew up in Grants Pass, Oregon where he worked at the Plywood Mill for 46 years. He worked as a head custodian for 14 years at Borah High School before he retired in 2014. Rod never knew a stranger and loved to joke with those around him. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, camping, and spending time at the Oregon coast. Rod especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Rodney is survived by his children Melissa Eells of Caldwell, Nick and Torrie Bowers of Caldwell, Chad and Kylie Sevy of Marsing; grandchildren Brooklyn Bowers (21), Noah (18) and Mckenna Milburn (18), Cash Sevy (18), Lexi Sevy (15) Sevy, and Dax Bowers (13). He is also survived by two brothers Steve and Marianne Eells, Kenny and Cynthia Eells; four sisters Lavon Wright, Cindy Cunningham, Gayla Lloyd, and Gina and Shawn Anderson; seven brothers-in-law; eight sisters-in law; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rodney was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Renee Eells; daughter Brandy Eells; parents Wesley & Leona Eells; father-in-law Harvey Lacer; and in-laws Rick and Cindy Lacer, Kenny Wright, Becky Conger, and Dallas Cunningham.

Graveside services will be held at Granite Hill Cemetery on Monday, August 10th, at 11 a.m. where he will be laid to rest next to the love of his life Phyllis Eells.
