Robert Dean Reddy

Robert Dean “Bob” Reddy, age 93, of Grants Pass, died May 25, 2020 in Medford.

Bob was born March 12, 1927 in Pocatello, Idaho to John & Margaret Reddy. He was the oldest of four children; two brothers and one sister. He grew up on a ranch about 20 miles from town and attended grades 1 thru 8, in a one-room schoolhouse. He attended three years of high school in Pomona, California, returning to Idaho for the 12th grade. He graduated high school in Twin Falls, Idaho and joined the United States Navy spending time in Hawaii and Midway Island. After his honorable discharge from the Navy he went to vocational school for a year to begin the carpentry trade which was his profession for 45 years. In 1953 he married Sarah Tauscher and had four daughters. They lived in Southern California and later divorced in 1972. In 1977 he married his wife of 43 years, Marge Reddy. In 1995 they moved from Placentia, California to Grants Pass, Oregon.

After retiring, Bob became an avid wood carver and belonged to the Rogue Valley Woodcarvers. He also enjoyed playing cards with friends.

He was a member of River Valley Community Church and the Oregon Commission of the Blind.

Bob was a loving husband, father, step-father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. He will be missed by many who loved him dearly.

Survivors include his wife Marge Reddy of Grants Pass, Oregon; children Linda Buchli (Gary) and Roberta Terry (Robert) all of Pocatello, Idaho and Patricia Landvatter (Todd) of Boise, Idaho; step-children Raymond Bridges (Paula) of Stanton, California, Susan Nelke (Larry) of Cape Coral, Florida, Michael Bridges (Gale) of Palm Desert, California and Robert Bridges (Beverly) of Sedro Woolley, Washington; sister Lora Primm of Twin Falls, Idaho; brother Donald Reddy of Boise, Idaho; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Kenneth Reddy; and daughter Bonnie Dehn.

Military Funeral Honors are pending at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
