Robert C. Pyatt, age 81, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at his home.

Bob was born August 24, 1933 in Brea, California to Lee & Anna (Brown) Pyatt. After graduating from Compton High School he attended Compton Junior College and continued his education by earning a Bachelors and Masters in Business Administration. For 25 years he served in the United States Air Force as a pilot flying missions in Vietnam. He retired as a Colonel in 1977. Bob worked for both the United State and Mexico Departments of Agriculture in charge of air operations for pestilence eradication. He then worked as director of marketing at Litton Aero Products in Woodland Hills, California. In 1980 he met Toni Perham in Canoga Park, California. In 1986 they were married in Las Vegas. In 1989 after retiring, Bob and Toni moved to Grants Pass where Bob went to work for Applied Laser Systems and later as director of airports of Josephine County until retiring for good in 1995.

His memberships include National Military Officers Association; Southern Oregon Military Officers Association; B.P.O. Elks #1584, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4116.

Bob loved to travel and especially enjoyed cruises and RVing.

Survivors include his wife, Toni Pyatt of Grants Pass, Oregon; a daughter, Pam Pyatt of Redlands, California; two sons, Bob Perham and wife Kelly of Ventura, California and Steve Perham and wife Ann of Fallbrook, California; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Burkholder and a son, Jeff Perham.

A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 14, 2015 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors. A committal service with funeral military honors will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 14, 2015 at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
