Bob was born in Dumas, Texas on July 21, 1951 to Bill and Ivy Green. He was the youngest of 4 Children. Growing up Bob loved doing things together with his closest brother and best friend Ray. They were nearly inseparable throughout childhood. He loved playing guitar and singing. In high school he played in a band called The Living Color. His band won first place in a competition at his school. Bobby also loved listening to big band era music. After he graduated high school he was married for a short time then divorced before enlisting in the Army. He served in an artillery battalion and in the Honor Guard. He was very proud to serve his country. While stationed in Korea he met his future wife SonHe. They were married in 1975 and returned to live near his parents in Texas. Bob worked for the United States Postal Service in Denton Texas until his divorce in 1986. Then he moved to Austin Texas and continued to work for the Postal Service. In 1989 he returned to Denton Texas and worked for 76 and Sunpower Fuel Centers. Bob never met a stranger. He was always smiling and he considered everyone his friend and loved to make people laugh. Bob enjoyed spending time with friends and family, listening to music, fishing, painting pictures, and loved to watch westerns - especially John Wayne movies. After both Bob and his brother, Ray’s divorces they were roommates for many years until Ray’s death in 2010. They also shared their apartment with their beloved dog Du. After the death of his brother Ray, Bob moved to Grants Pass to be near his niece. Bob was very loved by everyone who knew him and will be greatly missed.

Preceding him in death were his parents Bill and Ivy Green of Bowie, Texas, a brother Ray Green of Denton, Texas, a sister Billie Freeman of Krum, Texas, and a sister Bonnie Green who died just after birth, a niece Dawn Bowling of Valley View, Texas, a nephew Craig Markowski of Cleveland, Ohio and a nephew Ricky Markowski of Longmont, Colorado. Survivors include his niece Bambi Bianchi of Grants Pass, Oregon, a niece Sarah Bowling of Tillamook, Oregon and a nephew Zachary Bowling of Tillamook, Oregon.

Thank you to everyone who helped Bob after his move to Grants Pass. He loved you all very much.
