Robert "Bob" Goldsberry

November 24, 1929 — January 17, 2012

Robert “Bob” Goldsberry, age 82, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Three Rivers Community Hospital.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses South Congregation, 2412 Williams Highway, Grants Pass. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Bob was born November 24, 1929 in Los Angeles, California to Fred William Goldsberry & Emily Alice (Ball) Goldsberry. From 1950 to 1979 he worked for Jack Warner at Warner Brothers and 20th Century Fox motion picture studios. He did various jobs including prop maker and security and for ten years worked security at the Academy Awards. In 1980 he moved from Encino, California to Grants Pass.

Bob was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses as elder. He volunteered with Jehovah’s Witness shepherding.

He enjoyed art and music and played the trumpet and drums.

Bob is survived by his wife, Erlinda C. Goldsberry of Grants Pass, Oregon; two daughters, Andrea Nelson of Grants Pass, Oregon and Sharon Goldsberry of Oxnard, California; a son, Steven Goldsberry of Simi Valley, California; a stepdaughter, Judy Heddon of Thousand Oaks, California; a sister, janet Takushi of Kailua, Hawaii; a brother, Charles Goldsberry of Mesa, Arizona; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.
