Rita J. Boget, age 65, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Three Rivers Medical Center.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center on Williams Highway. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
She was born Rita Jacqueline Boget on February 27, 1948 in Los Angeles, California where she was raised and attended schools. In 1987 in Los Angeles she married Julio Carrasco and they later divorced. She started working as a dog groomer at Eagle Rock Pet Shop in Los Angeles. For 40 years she was a professional dog groomer for celebrities including Bob Hope and Yul Brynner. She also was a breeder of Tibetan Terriers and Tibetan Mastiffs. She moved from California to Grants Pass 20 years ago.
Rita was a member of the American Kennel Club; Northwest Bird Club; and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Riverside Ward and especially enjoyed visiting with the Relief Society sisters.
She volunteered at animal shelters.
Her hobbies included arts and crafts, cake decorating, and showing dogs for the American Kennel Club.
Survivors include a son, Travis Boget of Grants Pass, Oregon; and a sister, Terry Chesebrough of Williams, Oregon.
