Raymond Louis Geer

September 22, 1967 — August 8, 2019

Raymond Louis Geer, age 51, of Grants Pass, died August 8, 2019 at his home.

Raymond was born September 22, 1967 in Westerly, Rhode Island; the same day, same hospital, same doctor as his father 21 years later. Raymond started having seizures at age two and the doctors said he wouldn’t live past 12 years old. He had a difficult life, but was always happy and loving. Everyone that knew him, loved him.

Raymond loved peanut M&Ms until a peanut allergy when he changed to plain M&Ms. He loved the Disney classics channel on television and especially enjoyed the movies Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Wizard of Oz, The Lion King and Jungle Book. He loved basketball and won numerous awards playing with Special Olympics. He enjoyed bowling and swimming and was known to swim like a fish. He enjoyed his mom reading to him and loved looking for seashells at the coast with his parents. He would later paint the shells and made a night light and wind chimes with the seashells and glitter. Ray was good friends with Diane Sawyer, the journalist.

He is survived by his parents George & Pamela Geer of Grants Pass; brothers Michael Geer of Miami, Florida and Christopher Geer of Grants Pass; and five nieces and nephews.

Private interment will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Grants Pass.
