Ray V. Green

Ray V. Green, age 95, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at his home.

A viewing will be from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.

A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Hull & Hull Chapel. Interment will follow at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.

Ray was born October 4, 1914 in Grants Pass to Milton & Rose (Bishop) Green. He was raised in Grants Pass and in 1933 graduated from Grants Pass High School. On June 9, 1938 he married Margaret E. Hargaray. He retired from the Grants Pass Water Department.

For 40 years Ray was member of the Caveman Vintage Car Club.

In addition to his wife, Margaret E. Green of Grants Pass; he is survived by four children, Barbara J. Erickson of Salt Lake City, Utah, Patricia R. Pennington of Grants Pass, Donald P. Green of Oak Harbor, Washington and William Green of Grants Pass; a brother, Claude Green of Grants Pass; a sister, Marie Irby of Portland; 18 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Cliff Green and Vern Green.
