Phyllis Lusk

Phyllis Lusk, age 82, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at her home.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Rivers of Life Four Square Church in Grants Pass with Pastor Rick Gilmore officiating. Private interment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Phyllis was born August 20, 1929 in Humboldt, Kansas to Ray & Ruth Jordan. She was the youngest of four children. She grew up in Southern California and Southern Oregon. She lived and raised her family in Southern California. Phyllis worked for Garrett AiResearch for 24 years as a secretary and executive secretary. While living in California, she was a member of Community Baptist Church in Manhattan Beach where she enjoyed teaching and working with youth and young adults. On January 23, 1982 she married Hal Lusk and in October 1987 they moved to Grants Pass. She worked with Hal in the real estate business and later as a secretary with Bob Drake Reproductions.

Phyllis was dedicated to her children and grandchildren. She was always ready with an open ear and an open home.

She volunteered her time as a Sunday school teacher and youth worker.

She especially enjoyed shirret crochet.

In addition to her husband, Hal Lusk of Grants Pass, Oregon; she is survived by two sons, Tom Ramler of Grand Junction, Colorado and Paul Ramler of Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Laurie Dayton of Grants Pass, Oregon and Carolyn Ramler of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania; three stepsons, Ron Lusk of Bend, Oregon, Mike Lusk of Quincy, Michigan and Gary Lusk of Twin Falls, Idaho; a sister, Betty Korba of Grants Pass, Oregon; a brother, Clair Jordan of Desert Hot Springs, California; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Schwarz and a grandson, TJ Ramler.
