Perry Lee Pullen

February 2, 1935 — April 18, 2011

Perry Lee Pullen, age 76, of Cave Junction, died Monday, April 18, 2011 at his home.

A funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2011 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cave Junction. Private interment will be Laurel Cemetery in Cave Junction. Illinois Valley Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Perry was born February 2, 1935 in Portland, Oregon to Perry & Ellen Pullen. From 1958 to 1961 he served in the United States Army as a Medic. For 40 years he worked for Rough and Ready Sawmill in Cave Junction. He lived the majority of his life in Cave Junction.

Perry was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He enjoyed bowling, woodworking, golfing, and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Cathy Pullen of Cave Junction, Oregon; four daughters, Kathleen Gould of Glide, Oregon, Maureen Lemire of Roseburg, Oregon, and Tawana Grabarz and Kelly Bethke both of Cave Junction, Oregon; two sons, Perry Loring Pullen of Hillsboro, Oregon and Thomas “Chuck” Yattaw of Springfield, Oregon; and a sister, Wanda Pullen of Stayton, Oregon.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 27 years, Ernestine Pullen; his parents, Ellen Pullen & Perry Leroy Pullen; two brothers, Clarence and Edward Pullen; and a sister, Deanna Turnbull.

His whistling and singing will be missed!
