Paul F. Kidwell

Paul F. Kidwell passed away on March 17, 2018 at the age of 94 years due to complications from mesothelioma.

A native Berkeley, Paul attended the University of California prior to joining the Merchant Marine Service during WWII.

Paul married Betty Eileen Anderson in 1947. The couple moved to the San Diego area and remained there until 1981. Paul worked as a commercial fisherman and ship yard pipe-fitter during his time in San Diego. Paul and Betty moved to Grants Pass, Oregon in 1981.

Paul enjoyed many years of fishing in both Oregon and Alaska. Paul also participated in the local music scene playing guitar and singing.

Betty Kidwell passed away in 2009. Paul is survived by Sister Lois Shubert, daughter Rahn K. Decker, son Scott H. Kidwell, 4 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
