Paul A. Lindquist

Paul A. Lindquist, age 76, of Grants Pass, died January 20, 2017 at his son’s home in Warren, Oregon.

Paul was born to Alfred & Alice Lindquist on April 12, 1940 in Grants Pass where he grew up and attended schools. On September 24, 1960 in Grants Pass he married his wife, Mildred Pierrepont. Paul graduated from Southern Oregon University and the University of Oregon. He was a 30-year employee of both Grants Pass and Three Rivers School Districts; as a vice-principal and history teacher at South Middle School; principal at Lincoln Savage Middle School; vice-principal, principal and athletic director at North Valley High School; and administrator for Three Rivers School District.

Paul was a member of New Beginnings Christian Center in Rogue River, National Rifle Association, and Rotary.

He volunteered doing missionary work at an Apache Reservation in Arizona and as a Grants Pass swim team board member for many years.

His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, enjoying the outdoors, and building cars. He proudly held a Pioneer license.

In his later years, Paul enjoyed Bible study, ministry and teaching, and spending time with his family.

Paul is survived by his wife, Mildred F. Lindquist of Grants Pass; two sons, Brett A. Lindquist of Warren, Oregon and Mark E. Lindquist of Grants Pass; a brother, Harlan Lindquist; seven grandchildren, Josh Lindquist, Jake Lindquist, Sheila Lindquist, Carrie Hammond, Azaya Holmes, Cricket Holmes and Cody Holmes; and three great-grandchildren, Kinzley Medart, Kimber Lackey, and Mylee Prickett.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Charlene.

A viewing will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at New Beginnings Christian Center in Rogue River with Pastors Ron Marsh and Dale Schaffner officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
