Patricia "Pat" A. Turner Wills

Patricia “Pat” A. Turner Wills, 95 of Grants Pass, Oregon passed away at her home Tuesday, November 15, 2022.


Pat was born in Grants Pass, Or. in 1925 to Ray and Arda Turner. She graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1944. Her strong desire to support World War II efforts, led her to to travel to Santa Monica, Ca., becoming a “Rosie the Riveter” and work for the the “We Can Do It” movement. She was hired and began her work in an aircraft manufacturing plant. At wars end, Pat moved back to Grants Pass.


On November 30, 1946, Pat married Lawrence “Larry” Wills of Rogue River. Pat and Larry were married for over 75 years, having three children, Chris Frame, Charles Wills and Susan Voltz.


Pat and Larry lived in many cities across the U.S., moving for job related transfers including, Fresno, Ca, Olympia, Wa., New Orleans, La. and Portland, Or. In their retirement years, they moved back to Rogue River and built a home on the Rogue River. Pat was a Member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, researching the genealogy of the roots of her Mother and Dad’s side of the family. She was also an active member of the Grants Pass Golf Club, enjoying many years of golf with the women, of the 18 Hole group. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and in her earlier years, playing the piano and Bridge.


She is survived by her husband, Larry Wills; her three sisters: Mary Knight and Joyce Loomis of Grants Pass, Sallie Parrnelli of Medford, Or. and brother, John Turner of Fairhope, Ala. Daughter Chris Frame and Susan Voltz (Mark) Voltz and son Charles (Donna) Wills; five grandchildren Holly Halter, Miles Frame, Marie McNally, Jeff McNally and Nicole Suk. Great grand-children: Ashley, Joshua, Emily, Tyler, Aiden, Ryan and Nora.


A private family graveside service will be held in Rogue River at the Woodville Cemetery on December 7, 2022.
