Norma "Jerry" Miller

Norma “Jerry” Miller, age 97, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Laurel Hill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

A memorial service will be at 3:30 p.m., Friday, May 7, 2010 at Hull & Hull Chapel. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Jerry was born Norma Geraldine Coy on November 4, 1912 in Great Falls, Montana to Myron & Rena Coy. She was raised in Montana until the age of 10. Her family moved to San Francisco where she graduated from high school. She later lived in Mill Valley, California and there she met and married Merwin Charles Miller. They lived in the Bay area until they moved to Grants Pass on October 10, 1962.

She was a member of the local Bingo Club

She volunteered for Girl Scouts while her daughter attended school.

Her hobbies included traveling on cruise ships and her last cruise was at age 85. She especially enjoyed crocheting for her friends and family.

Survivors include a daughter, Judy L. Rich and husband, Daniel of Grants Pass; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Merwin C. Miller on December 30th, 1986.
