Nelsa Silvia Powley

Nelsa Silvia Powley, age 84, of Grants Pass, died August 19, 2020 at her home.

Nelsa was born September 10, 1935 in Guantanamo, Cuba. She moved from Moreno Valley, California to Grants Pass in 2005.

She volunteered with the Asante Meals on Wheels program; pillow talk for new moms and babies; made baskets and stockings for expectant mothers at Christmas and a special bassinette for the first baby born in each New Year.

Survivors include children George R. Powley, Doreen Benavente and Kevin Powley all of Grants Pass; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Pedro and Carmen Estevez; daughter Denise Marshman; sister Bertila Caminero; and brother Rafael Estevez.

Private interment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
