Nelda Madeline Clark

Nelda Madeline Clark, age 85, of Grants Pass, passed away, Saturday, March 10, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Nelda was born July 15, 1926 in Freeport, Illinois to Lawrence & Minnie Sorn. In 1947 she married Stanley R. Clark and they moved to Grants Pass in 1953. Nelda worked for a local laundromat, as a housekeeper for the Riverside Motel, and as a screen printer for Champion Products for ten years before retiring.

She belonged to the Hugo Ladies Club for 30 years.

Nelda enjoyed traveling, camping, and gardening in her yard. She was an avid quilter and provided her family with beautiful quilts. She took great joy in all her grandchildren and the Field grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Stanley R. Clark of Grants Pass, Oregon; she is survived by two daughters, Diane Sarlund and husband George of Puyallup, Washington and Billie Jo Mucha of Tacoma, Washington; a son, Steve Clark and wife Judy of Central Point, Oregon; seven grandchildren, Gary Sarlund and wife Chelby, Pam Sarlund-Heinrich and husband Charlie Heinrich, Grant Wheeless, Kyle Wheeless and wife Melody, Chelsea McGoffin and husband Travis, Cody Clark, and Cheree Clark; three great-grandchildren, Kyle W. Wheeless, Gage Sarlund, and Tristan Wheeless and one more great-granddaughter due in May 2012.

Family services will be held at a later date.
