Nancy was born September 19, 1959 in West Covina, California to Alexis Richard Strong & Norma Belloso Strong. In 1977 she graduated from South Umpqua High School in Myrtle Creek. In high school Nancy enjoyed singing in the choir and showing her 4-H goats at the Douglas County Fair. On November 4, 1978 in Myrtle Creek she married her junior high and high school sweetheart of seven years, Randel Eugene Livingood. In 1996 she returned to college at San Diego State University where she earned her Master’s degree in social work. At her graduation she gave the commencement speech as Valedictorian of the SDSU and #1 graduate in the School of Social Work. While Randel was at sea, Nancy worked in an Alzheimer’s unit in Poway, California. Upon moving from San Diego to Barstow, California she worked as a social worker at St. Mary Hospital in Victorville, California. They moved from Barstow to Grants Pass 12 years ago and Nancy worked at Lovejoy Hospice as the Social Service Support Manager.

Nancy was a member of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Shady Cove.

Her hobbies included collecting goats, flower gardening, making preserves, and the couples’ saltwater fish aquarium.

Survivors include her husband, Randel Livingood of Grants Pass; her parents, Alexis & Norma Strong of Rogue River, Oregon; and two sisters, Dianne Strong-Summerhays of Eagle Point, Oregon and Alexa Ann Clason of Sutherlin, Oregon.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Randolph Henry Strong and Ricky Strong.
