Myron was very proud of his Norwegian heritage and often joked about being a member of the Viking Club. He enjoyed spending time reloading for his hobby of sport shooting and working on anything mechanical. He also enjoyed woodworking and welding, traveling, and his dog Augie. Myron was also proud of the fact that he earned his high school diploma at the age of 61.

In addition to his family, Myron had many friends he enjoyed spending time with.

Surviving are his son Mark Hagen in Klamath Falls, Oregon; his daughter Ronda Taylor in North Bend, Oregon; his sisters, Harriet Sangray in San Diego, California, Joanne Minder in Milbank, South Dakota and Janice Gallacher in Prescott, Arizona; 4 grandchildren & his companion of 17 years, Patricia Lingafelter.
