Monica (Gray) Snow

March 11, 1981 — January 16, 2019

Monica J. Gray (Snow)

On Wednesday, January 16, 2019, in Grants Pass, Oregon. Monica J. Gray (Snow) passed away unexpectedly. Monica was born on March 11, 1981, in a farmhouse in Hugo, Oregon. Her birthplace suited her well, since she was a "tomboy" growing up. She loved to play outside, go rafting, walk in nature, put together a huge waterslide for anyone to use, or just go to the river to swim with friends and her kids.

When Monica married Justin Snow on May 11, 2005, her desire to have a family was fulfilled. Together they had three children. Monica made those kids her priority and loved watching them grow. Monica would take them to the waterpark in Medford, or the train park, Riverside Park, anything with a park or to the river to swim. They even participated in a haunted house one Halloween. Even after their divorce, Monica and Justin worked together for the best interest of their kids. It was unusual to see, but refreshing to know they would be friends.

Monica was known by many as a server and bartender in Grants Pass, as well as having a bakery at one point for gluten free and specialty cakes. She made amazing birthday cakes and many other fantastic cakes, vegan goodies and treats. She put her heart into them, as she did with everything else in life.

Monica is survived by her parents, Mike and Margaret (Britt) Gray; brother, David Gray; sister, Becky Gray; her children, Gavin, Logan and Jaedyn; and many more extended family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Grace Baptist Church, 4233 E. Evans Creek Rd., Rogue River. There will be a reception after and the family invites you to join them to remember Monica and all that she was.

Poem written by
Ron Tranmer:

We little knew that morning,
God was to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
You did not go alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories;
Your love is still our guide.
And though we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one,
They will link again.
