Mildred J. Weeks Steinhardt

Mildred J. Weeks Steinhardt, age 95, of Rogue River, died Thursday, August 12, 2010 at her home.

A graveside service was held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Woodville Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Mildred was born February 2, 1915 in Anacortes, Washington. In 1975 she moved from Grants Pass to Rogue River. She was a homemaker and especially enjoyed her family.

She was a member of Hugo Community Church and also attended Rogue Valley Community Church. She volunteered her time to provide compassionate services to friends and neighbors with rides to doctor appointments and caring for the sick.

Mildred loved working in the flower gardens around her home; spending time in the outdoors hiking and walking; and picking blackberries and making jam. She had a unique hobby of making braided rugs out of plastic bread wrappers.

Survivors include a son, George Weeks of Grants Pass and a daughter, Nancy Jensen of Rogue River; two grandsons; four great-grandsons; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett J. Steinhardt.
