Mike Mckinney

Michael Edgar McKinney, age 78, of Selma, Oregon died December 28, 2019 at Adventist Health Medical Center in Portland.

Mike was born July 28, 1941 in Lone Pine, California. At the age of seven, he moved with his family to Rogue River. During high school the family moved to Gold Beach. From 1960 to 1982 he served in the United States Navy. In 1982 he moved from Whidbey Island, Washington to Selma. He worked at Sprouse-Reitz for 10 years and Goodwill for ten years.

Mike loved playing baseball and golf. An avid football fan, he cheered for the OSU Beavers and the Seattle Seahawks. Mike loved his family very much and always gave them tongue in cheek compliments.

Mike was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wards.

He volunteered with the local soup kitchen.

Survivors include his wife Susan A. McKinney of Selma; two sons Sean K. McKinney of Selma and Patrick D. McKinney of Sequim, Washington; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister Nancy Baker; and his parents David & Wanda Brace.

A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m., January 18, 2020 at Wilderville Methodist Church in Wilderville, Oregon.
