Michael C. Wolcott

June 6, 1960 — June 24, 2022

Michael “Mike” Wolcott was born June 6, 1960 in Portland Oregon and has passed away June 24, 2022 in Grants Pass, OR. He is the son of Carol and Ken Wolcott. Carol is still alive and living in Grants Pass and Ken passed away in 2016. He has a sister, Theresa Wolcott and brother, Thomas Wolcott who are still living. Mike graduated from Grants Pass High School and was in National Guard from 1983-1989 as a mechanic. Mike met his first wife and mother of his kids, Yvonne Wolcott, in high school and they had their first child, Mandy Baynard in 1981 and second child, Kara Jones, in 1986. Mike has four grandchildren: Jaron, Timothy, Reilly, and Bethany. Mike was married to Lori for a few years and helped provide care for her children, Cory and Kelsey.

Mike was a cook for most of his career and worked for Lemolo Lake resort and Diamond Lake resort, where he loved spending his time. Mike enjoyed cooking and hearing people enjoy his food. He also enjoyed fishing, watching movies, collecting hot wheels, playing with remote control cars, and watching concerts either Live or Live on video. Mike worked as the cook for Rooster’s Restaurant, which he enjoyed and worked up until he could not work any longer.

Mike was a hard-working man who would give the shirt off his back if it made someone else happy. He would help the homeless and less fortunate when he was able to. He loved his family very much and did what he could to make them happy. He had a kind soul and was a good friend to many. We love you and miss you very much!
