Matthew Brian Diltz

Matthew Brian Diltz passed away in the arms of his family February 8, 2017.

Born June 5, 1957 in Hollywood, California, he attended Hart High School in Newhall, California to 11th grade and completed 12th grade later as an adult.

His aptitude for building things led him to carpentry and associated construction. He lived for several years in Washington state, with wife, Susan managing apartment property.

He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, gardening, animals, and being with family. He was generous and helped friends and neighbors at any opportunity, and had a lively sense of humor.

Survivors include his wife, Susan of Hood River; mother, Barbara Diltz of Rogue River; daughter, Laura Sousa; granddaughter, Sarina Sousa; sister, Gloria Lucas of Grants Pass; a niece and a nephew and their children.

Preceded in death by two sons and older brother, George Diltz.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 24, 2017 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.
