Mary Jane Murphy, age 67, of Rogue River, died Friday, May 25, 2012 at her home.
Mary Jane Murphy lived in Rogue River, Oregon, for the past 13 years. She was born in Salinas, California on December 12, 1944 and grew up in Watsonville, California. After graduating from Humboldt State and teaching for a few years she married Paul Murphy in 1970 and moved to Half Moon Bay, California. They soon started a family and she decided to become a full-time homemaker and volunteer. Some of her favorite hobbies were gardening, sewing, baking, ceramics and reading.
While living in Roque River she was active in the Wimer Fire Auxilliary and Garden Club as well as the St. Anne’s Legion of Mary.
She is survived by Paul, Mae, Kevin, Taralynn, numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Tom and Donald and her son Doug.
Services will be held at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Grants Pass, Oregon on Saturday, June 2nd with a Rosary at 12:30 pm followed by a Memorial Mass at 1 pm. For additional information call Hull & Hull Funeral Directors at (541) 476-4453.
