Marvin H. Amundson, age 93, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Highland House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

A celebration of life will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 27, 2012 at The Suites, 1301 Parkdale Drive with Joe Paul officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Marvin was born November 17, 1918 in Edgerton, Wisconsin to Henry & Annie Amundson. The youngest of four, he and his sisters, Evelyn and Arvilla and his twin Marlyn were raised on the family farm. Marvin served in the United States Army during World War II and used his skills as a truck driver to work for several trucking companies in Wisconsin. Later he moved to Oregon and owned and operated a Mobile gas station in Beaverton, Oregon. In 1984 he married Joyce Van Cleve who survives.

In addition to his wife, Joyce Amundson of Grants Pass, survivors include his daughters, Lynn Montgomery of Grants Pass, Julie Hansen of Arizona, Cheryl Myhrovold, Linda Hrubes and Robin Larsen all of Wisconsin; his sons, Jeff Amundson, James Amundson, Richard Amundson and Robert Amundson and their spouses all of Wisconsin; 27 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
