Martin Joaquin Suarez

Martin Joaquin Suarez, 59, of Grants Pass, died on February 3, 2021 at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center.

Marty was born August 16, 1961 in San Bernardino, California. At age 33, he moved with his family to Grants Pass. He was a loving father and family man. A hard worker from the age of 16, who always had a commanding presence and took pride in his work. He was a great friend to many and kind-hearted to all.

Marty attended River Valley Church.

A car and aircraft enthusiast, he also enjoyed playing pool, softball and horseshoes; recreational shooting and gardening and landscaping.

Survivors include son John Suarez of Central Point, Oregon; daughter Leanna Suarez-Cruz of Redlands, California; brother Ernest Martinez; and two grandchildren Cassidy Cruz and Markie Cruz.

He was preceded in death by his mother Josephine Castro-Valenzuela and sister Angela Salazar.
