Marsha Gail (Mcnevin) Randall

Marsha Gail (McNevin) Randall, age 73, of Grants Pass, died Friday, April 26, 2013 at her home with her family present.

A funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Savage Street Building with Bishop Kenneth Guerra. Private interment will be at Inglewood Park Cemetery in Inglewood, California. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

She was born Marsha Gail McNevin on June 2, 1939 in Westwood, Lassen County, California to Betty June (Grainger) & Robert Donald McNevin. Her grandparents and great-grandparents were early settlers of both Northern California and Southern Oregon. She lived in Hawaii for a time, but spent her adult life in Sacramento, California until early 1975 when moved to Grants Pass. On August 28, 1981 in the Oakland, California Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she married Neil B. Randall.

Marsha was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Merlin Ward and was past Grants Pass Stake Young Women’s President. She also served for many years as a merit badge coordinator for Boy Scouts of America; sang with the Sweet Adeline’s; and was a former 4-H member. She was involved in many local volunteer projects including the genealogy society, the Family House, and served as a Regional Public Affairs Director for the church in North California & Southern Oregon area

Her favorite pastime was family history and genealogy. She loved to spend time and travel with her husband, especially enjoying the Oregon Coast. She was a friend of wildlife and treasured the handiworks and miracles of God.

In addition to her husband, Neil B. Randall of Grants Pass, Oregon; Marsha is survived by three children, Susan Sanchez Shute and husband Randy of Grants Pass, Oregon, Shirley Sanchez Nunez and husband Rafael of Tollhouse, California, and Cathy Sanchez Roff of Azalea, Oregon; three stepchildren, James Bruce Randall and wife Holly of Jacksonville, Oregon, Susan Randall Lundberg and husband Eric of Grants Pass, Oregon and Jennifer Grahn Greenlese and husband Kevin of Clinton, Utah; 31 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Paula Johnson Vance and husband Jeff of Sacramento, California, Bruce Anthony Johnson and wife Pat of Lopez Island, Washington, and Gary Robert McNevin and wife Shelley of Montgomery, Minnesota; and many cousins, aunts, uncles as well as many loved friends and other relatives.
