Marjorie "Marge" Burk

Marge Burk, age 92, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Royale Gardens Health & Rehabilitation Center.

A memorial service will be at 4:00 p.m., Monday, March 29, 2010 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.

Marge was born May 4, 1917 in Seattle, Washington to Harold & Lela Fields, one of seven children. On November 21, 1947 in Yuma, Arizona she married Alvin Lee Burk. After the death of her husband in 1979, she moved from Rosemead, California to Grants Pass.

She loved gardening and taking in stray animals. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

For two years, she volunteered with Senior Services preparing meals.

Survivors include a son, Alvin Lee Burk, Jr of Yerington, Nevada; two daughters, Marie McDonald and Nancy Curry both of Grants Pass, Oregon; a sister, Maxine Schaffer of Palm Springs, California, a brother, Jack Fields of Southern California; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
