Marilyn J. Smith

Our mother Marilyn J. Smith passed away on April 1, 2011, in her home after a very short battle with cancer. Mom was born in Kansas City, Kansas on March 16, 1937. Our Grandmother and Mom relocated to Long Beach, California in the early 50's where she graduated from Polly High School. Mom then married and raised us three kids while living throughout Southern California. After retiring from AT&T mom moved from Mission Viejo to a beautiful little town she had drove through years earlier..Grants Pass Oregon in 1987. She then met and married the late Chuck Smith. They enjoyed taking trips in their motor home to the coast, Redwood Forests and other fun destinations. She enjoyed singing, soaking up the sun and laughing. Our mother had friends far and near that she treasured.

In lieu of a service or flowers our mother has ask that you do one random act of kindness in her memory.

She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Smith and mother Mary Spelia. She is survived by her children; Frank Holbert of Ontario California, Cynthia Hermann of Leesburg Virginia and Keith Holbert of Las Vegas Nevada. She also has three Grandchildren and three Great-grandchildren.
