Marian Henrietta Jackson, age 83 of Grants Pass, died Tuesday July 1, 2008 at her daughters home in Aurora, Oregon.

Services will be held on Monday July 21, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Finley Bend on the Rogue River with Pastor Ron Hayworth Officiating.

Remembrance''s may be made to the American Cancer Society, 31 W. 6th Street, Medford OR 97501.

Marian was born on June 4, 1925 in Sheboygan Wisconsin to John Perry and Nelda Minnie Davison. They soon relocated to Long Beach California
where she also attended school. Marian was a princess for the Tournament of Roses Parade in 1941. In 1942 she married Barney Jackson at the
Lynwood Lutheran Church in Longbeach, California. Marian worked for the aircraft industry during World War II and also for the May Company. Marian relocated
to Grants Pass in 1946. Marian and Barney celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary Dec 24,2007.

Marian enjoyed bowling and was 2nd in the womens state tournament in 1968 and went on to represent Oregon in the US tournament in Florida. She was
an excellent golfer and made a hole in one at Grants Pass Golf Club. She was an avid fisherman and loved to fish the Rogue River and drove for many fishing
guides over the years. Marian loved the American Flag, Eagles and the Blue Angels. She also loved playing Bingo. She loved spending time with friends,
family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Barney Jackson of Grants Pass she is survived by three children. Michael Jackson, Barbara Wright and her husband Mike Wright
Susan Roberts and her husband Steve Roberts. A sister Betty Formasano. Nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents John Perry Davison in 1971 and her mother Nelda Minnie Davison in 1992.
